Teaching Positions
The British Institute (TBI) has schools in major cities throughout Indonesia and has been the quality benchmark for ESL for more than 25 years.
We offer a superior benefits package, exceptional professional career development, advancement opportunities and a first class professional working environment.
Native Speakers
Teachers should have a minimum university degree, CELTA, Trinity or equivalent certification (120 hour course with assessed teaching practice), and valid EFL classroom experience. Some TBI schools require teachers with a background and/or keen interest in teaching young learners. Due to immigration regulations, we can only accept applications for expatriate teaching positions from passport holders from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
Indonesian Nationals
Teachers should have a good university degree, well developed English language skills, ideally have valid EFL classroom experience and some EFL training. Experience in an English speaking country abroad (studies or work) is beneficial but not strictly required. A range of teacher training and professional development programs are available. Applicants who have exceptional English language skills and who show a clear aptitude for EFL classroom careers may be considered for pre-employment training and sponsorship.
