Welcome to TBI Darmo Kali

TBI Darmo Kali is located in the heart of Surabaya, 5 minutes from the zoo and just down the street from the French Cultural Institute (CCCL). Our campus, at 38 Darmo Kali, is built on the site of specially-converted historical building which dates from the Dutch era. Despite its old-world appearance, TBI Darmo Kali is very much in the 21st century, with full multi-media capability in each classroom, a modern and comfortable computer access room, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. We also have a 5000-book library, complete with children’s literature, best-selling novels, encyclopaedias, scientific books, and more besides. Indeed, many of our students find the library a good place to catch up on their homework!

We provide the full range of TBI courses, including Global English (GE), Business English Communication, Children’s and Teens’ classes, and exam preparation for both TOEFL and IELTS. We even have courses aimed at pre-reading-age children (Super Me).

TBI Darmo Kali fully supports the professional development of its teachers, with regular workshops and observation feedback - and even provides opportunities for those who wish to obtain further qualifications in the field of ELT.
