My First Five Months

Wow. I can't believe it's already been five months since I arrived in Jakarta and started teaching here at TBI Kuningan.  Last year I spent an amazing 12 months working as an English teacher in France, and although I miss many things about French life (cheese, cheese & cheese), living and working in Jakarta has been equally stimulating, challenging and rewarding.

At TBI I teach a variety of classes so there's never a dull moment.  These include Global English, Business, children and teenagers, as well as exam preparation, in-house business and one-to-one classes.

I'm also lucky to be surrounded by a fantastic group of colleagues and students.  The students at TBI are friendly and enthusiastic.  They love talking, participating and making jokes.  My colleagues have been my greatest support.  I've learnt a lot from them and made some excellent friends too!  They're always willing to lend their time and experience to help me and this is something I really appreciate. 

Thanks, everyone, for sharing your ideas and making me feel welcome! As for the future, I'm looking forward to some new and challenging projects coming up in the next few weeks.  Looks like it's going to be a busy year!
