Exam Preparation

From TBI to Sweden!

Hello, my name is Budijono. I would like to share my experience as a TBI student. My original reason for starting to study at TBI was with to prepare myself to take xam Preparation for the USA.

I went to TBI Kuningan and did a placement test. Unfortunately, the result was not good as I hoped, so TBI suggested that I complete Global English level 5 before joining an Exam Preparation for the USA class. At the beginning I thought that the class would be boring, but I was wrong. It was the opposite! The class was great.

I made new friends who were nice and fun. Our teachers were very helpful, had lots of knowledge and were highly skilled. We learned together to improve our English using the active learning method. As a result, my English got better.

After I finished my Global English class I continued to an Exam Preparation for the USA course. In this class, we had to study hard. The teachers always encouraged and pushed us to study and think analytically so that we would have the knowledge, skills, strategies we would need to complete the iBT TOEFL® successfully. During the course, the teachers gave us opportunities to study in the classroom, time to practice on the schools computer facilities, and also set lots of homework to ensure that we would achieve our goals.

Before I studied at TBI I was not confident of getting the TOEFL® score of 79 that I needed to do my masters degree. However, by studying hard, and with help of TBI, I got a TOEFL® score of 89. So now I am ready to follow my dreams and complete my masters’ degree in Sweden.  Before I go, however, I want to make sure my writing skills are ready for the job, so I have decided to do an academic writing course – at TBI Kuningan, of course!
